About 10 minutes drive south of the CH Boutique Hotel is the CH Boutique Apartments. The apartments are within walking distance of the Australian Equine & Livestock Centre, as well as Tamworth’s iconic Big Golden Guitar. The Tamworth Hotel

Housed inside a building that dates to the 1930s, The Tamworth Hotel is an ideal spot to eat, drink and stay. The rooms are very simple and the bathroom’s shared – so while that might not be for everyone, the convenient location might make up for it. Positioned a block away from the main street of Tamworth, The Tamworth Hotel is open in its goal to be the best country pub in the region. If you wander down from your room for a meal you’ll find a selection of pub classics, including burgers, schnitzel parmigiana and premium steaks from Jack’s Creek. Goonoo Goonoo Station

Approximately 20km south of Tamworth is the Goonoo Goonoo Station. Owned by the Haggarty family, the station has a range of accommodation options, from the single rooms in the Shearers Quarters to entire cottages and a luxurious five-bedroom homestead. The size and location makes Goonoo Goonoo Station a great accommodation option for a range of guests including wedding parties, extended families and couples looking for a romantic getaway. On site is the award-winning Glasshouse Restaurant. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the menu is sophisticated and reflects the technical skills of the chefs. Country Capital Motel

The Country Capital Motel offers a clean and comfortable base from which you can explore the surrounding region. Up to four people can be accommodated in a single room and all rooms come with a 4K TV, Wi-Fi and a bar fridge (tick, tick and tick!). For those warm summer days, when you need to cool down asap, the motel has a salt water pool where guests can enjoy a swim and cook on the BBQ. There’s your arvo sorted right there.

Part of the Best Western Plus brand, the All Settlers Motor Inn features a series of superior, deluxe and executive hotel rooms. Guests have access to a pool, free parking, laundry facilities, complimentary Wi-Fi and a BBQ area. The main on-site dining option is Gregory’s on Goonoo Goonoo. While the menu tends to favour pub classics, a word to the wise – a seafood platter is available with advanced notice (go on, you know you want to). The hotel rooms at the Ibis Styles Tamworth have a light and airy feel thanks to being recently refurbished – good to keep things fresh right?!. Studio 367

Studio 367 is a luxurious accommodation option where you won’t need to worry about being disturbed; it only has two studio apartments on a two-acre property, surrounded by gardens. The design is simple yet sophisticated, with high ceilings and open-plan living that’s bathed in natural light. Both studios have a small kitchenette with a microwave and fridge, but given the location, there are plenty of local restaurants to choose from if you feel like heading out – when in Rome right?

Located in the Tamworth CBD, the City Sider Motor Inn is a few minutes walk from Peel Street and Bicentennial Park. The sleek, bright guest rooms come with air conditioning and complimentary Wi-Fi. Despite what you might envision when you think of a motor inn, the rooms and cottage at the Roydon’s Motor Inn are pretty darn modern. They come with a HD TV, microwave, kettle and reverse cycle air conditioner. There’s also a pool, BBQ area and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout. Something Roydon’s Motor Inn prides itself on is being extremely pet-friendly. Guests can bring their cats and dogs along for the stay, meaning no one in the family has to miss out. Hurrah!

The Roseville Apartments

If you’re looking for apartment-style accommodation at a reasonable price – look no further than then the Roseville Apartments are worth considering. There are two room types; the one-bedroom apartment and two- storey Townhouse. Both feature a full kitchen, dining area and laundry facilities, but the Townhouse does have more beds (*noted). While there are no dining options on-site, guests do have access to BBQ facilities that can be used to cook a meal out in the garden. If the sun’s beaming down, it’s hot –so there’s also a pool and baby wading pool guests can use to cool down. Phew!
