North of Tenterfield is the lush Boonoo Boonoo National Park, home to wallabies, kookaburras and honeyeaters. It’s possible to stay within the bounds of the park at the Robinson’s Cabin. The forestry hut has a simple rustic design inside, with light colours and wooden furnishings. It has two bedrooms and can accommodate up to six people. Inside are all the conveniences you need to be self-contained, and outside there’s space to sit around a fire under the stars.
