Located just outside Tamworth, Glasshouse Restaurant is a beautiful venue situated at Goonoo Goonoo Station. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the restaurant is a multi award winner for its food and architecture. On the à la carte menu there’s a limited selection of entrees, mains and desserts. Start with something small like the Coffin Bay Pacific oysters, housemade chorizo or roasted Japanese scallops. Then, move on to something more substantial, perhaps the dry aged duck breast or housemade Jersey milk halloumi. At the end of the meal make sure you try dessert; they’re presented like little works of art and according to past diners they taste as good as they look. With ingredients like vegan coconut ice-cream, mint parfait, poached winter rhubarb and burnt orange curd, you’re sure to taste something special. For larger groups, Glasshouse has also put together two shared-style menus that are charged per person. It features a few dishes that aren’t on the à la carte menu, such as the butterflied roast chicken and slow-cooked lamb shank.
