All rooms are located upstairs, with one having an ensuite bathroom while the rest share. Walcha Road Hotel
Established in 1882, the Walcha Road Hotel can be described as the quintessential Australian pub. Located in the tiny town of Walcha Road, it lies about 19km west of Walcha. If you fancy a stay you have a choice to make; would you rather spend the night in one of the three self-contained cabins or try the converted train carriage?! Brought to the pub in 2004, the carriage was originally used as a temporary bar following a fire at the main building, but has now been fully converted into one of the area’s most unique self-contained stays.

Valley Views
A gorgeous little farmstay, Valley Views is perfect for a private couple’s escape. The guest space has a queen-sized bed, ensuite and kitchenette, and there’s dedicated parking as well as a private entrance to that section of the homestead. Cairnie Country Cottage
Surrounded by 100-year-old gardens, the Cairnie Country Cottage really is a place where you can slow down and take the time to smell the roses. Once the homestead laundry, the space became irrelevant following the introduction of electric washing machines in the 1950s, so went unused until it was reimagined and renovated into a small, self-contained cottage. It has a wood-fire heater, spacious kitchen, sunny dining room and quaint, country style bedroom. Red Hill Cottage
Red Hill Cottage is a traditional Australian farmstead which was built in the early 1900s. While it retains much of its original character, recent renovations have updated the cottage to include a timber deck, modern kitchen and additional bedroom. The open plan living space has plenty of natural light and stepping outside the door the cottage is surrounded by gardens. Beyond the gardens are grazing paddocks for the farm’s cattle, so prepare to wake up to the sounds of birds chirping and cows mooing.
