Four Bull Hut
If Washpool National Park is one of the main things attracting you to the Tenterfield area, you might be interested in staying within the park itself. Hidden in a secluded valley is Four Bull Hut, a rustic cabin that’s been beautifully refurbished. The two-bedroom cabin can accommodate up to six guests. Henry’s Cottage Tenterfield
Henry’s Cottage is a classic Australian country cottage named after Sir Henry Parkes. In 1879 he gave a speech we now call the Tenterfield Oration, which changed the course of the nation’s history. A four-bedroom home, Henry’s Cottage can accommodate up to 10 people. There’s a comfy lounge inside that faces a crackling log fire, while outside there’s a verandah seating area that overlooks the main street. Old Council Chambers
One of the most historical buildings in Tenterfield, the Old Council Chambers was first built in 1884. Since then it has undergone many renovations, and today it houses two luxurious country retreats. Chambers 1 is a studio style apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, king-sized bed and fireplace. Robinson Cabin
North of Tenterfield is the lush Boonoo Boonoo National Park, home to wallabies, kookaburras and honeyeaters. It’s possible to stay within the bounds of the park at the Robinson Cabin. Strauss Cottage is an 1886 terrace house that’s been carefully restored to its former glory. The owners found it in a derelict condition and worked diligently to turn it into the perfect destination for a boutique getaway. Stonepine Ridge
North of the Boonoo Boonoo National Park is Stonepine Ridge, a working farm that offers a range of secluded, natural campsites. Some are surrounded by trees or are located near dams, while others have views that overlook the mountains.
