It’s no secret that Tamworth is a favourite destination when it comes to family-friendly activities. With sprawling parks, walking and biking tracks, tourist attractions, cultural and historical sites and kid-friendly spaces, it’s no wonder so many flock to the Country Music Capital when looking to spend quality time with their families.

If you frequent the Tamworth region, you might be familiar with what’s on the menu when it comes to the usual places to go and things to do while in town, but have you ever heard of The Monster Jump? An epic 280-metre mobile inflatable obstacle course that boasts 30 obstacles, The Monster Jump will be coming to the Tamworth Regional Sporting Complex from Saturday 5 October until Sunday 13 October.

For a visual, imagine the biggest and best jumping castle you’ve ever seen, then times it by 100. That’s The Monster Jump. The best part? This attraction is made for the whole family – it’s an all-ages kinda deal. So, if it’s a whole-family activity you’re chasing or you’re just looking for somewhere to let the kids loose while you relax in the shade, The Monster Jump is EXACTLY the thing.

The deets

While The Monster Jump is suitable for humans aged three years and up, anyone under five must be accompanied by an adult. And if that’s the case, don’t worry – your ticket will be included in that of your little one at no extra cost.

The Monster Jump tickets are $35 each and give you two hours of free rein in the exhilarating inflatable jungle. And for just $10 extra, you can upgrade to an ALL-DAY pass – which gives you plenty of time to explore every obstacle and overcome every challenge.

So what are you waiting for? Gather your family, your friends and your long-lost relatives – The Monster Jump invites you to spend the day exploring, climbing, jumping, sliding, diving, bouncing and showing off your coolest airborne twists, kicks and flips. Race your friends to the end or meander through and enjoy the scenery – whatever you choose, your little monster is sure to have a great time (and so are you).

Where can I get tickets?

While tickets can be purchased both online and onsite, the team at The Monster Jump recommend you pre-purchase your tickets online – and quickly. Due to its complete and utter awesomeness, this event has a habit of selling out – fast. And unfortunately, if The Monster Jump tickets sell out online, there’ll be no more for sale online or at the gate. Once they’re gone, that’s it – finito.

What to bring

Like any outdoor activity, it’s important to stay sun-safe and hydrated, so the team at The Monster Jump kindly ask you to bring water, sunscreen and a hat. An invigorating activity like The Monster Jump is going to take some energy too, so wear comfortable, cool clothing so you can jump for as long as possible. The other important thing? The Monster Jump is a no-shoe event, but the team is strict about wearing socks, so don’t forget them.

So, if you’re looking for some great outdoor fun in the sun, you CANNOT – we repeat – CANNOT, miss The Monster Jump! A surefire way to keep the kids (and the kids-at-heart) entertained, The Monster Jump promises a fun-packed day of obstacles, laughter, and joy.
