Charlotte and Ross, friends of REGGIE, love hitting the region’s hiking trails with baby Margot in tow. Here they share their top tips when tackling the Gara Gorge loop in Armidale, also known as the Blue Hole.

Distance – 5.5km, loop.

Location – 20 minutes from Armidale along Castledoyle Road, kicks off at the Blue Hole.

Intensity – Moderate, but with a clearly defined path.

Need to know? – No phone signal, no dogs allowed.

Facilities – Car park, benches and bbq facilities found at the start of the trail.
